Are you passionate about showcasing art to young people? Then we’ve got just the role for you! Combining your love of art with your excellent organisational skills and ability to create digital content, you’ll be a crucial part of the Programme team at Tate.

The gallery, with our new learning suite, reopens on 31 March, prior to the launch of the expanded Tate St Ives in autumn 2017. As you’d expect with young people aged 15-25, the work will be dynamic and vibrant, You will take a lead in facilitating our peer-led young peoples’ programme, Tate Collective, and support them in delivering events that engage diverse young audiences both in the galleries and online. You will provide logistical and communications assistance alongside curatorial, administrative and financial support. Promoting Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden as venues for these audiences, you will work with colleagues to manage events logistics, and produce digital content such as blogs and social media.

This is a fantastic role for someone who has good verbal and written communication skills, particularly as you’ll be producing reports on the team’s activities and building a solid rapport with contacts such as schools and universities. You’ll also need great IT skills and experience of financial and administrative duties in an office. Your experience of working with young people and engaging diverse audiences in museums, galleries or informal learning programmes will be crucial. Incredibly organised with experience of managing events, writing social media and the ability to inspire this age group will also be in your skillset. Working two Saturdays per month plus occasional evenings, you’ll be a flexible team-player.
