This session will go through the refreshed Accreditation Standard and signpost the guidance that is available to support museums, whether making their first application to become Accredited or museums preparing to submit an Accreditation return.
It will then look in more detail at changes to the requirement regarding constitutions and, focusing on the Forward Plan, will explore how museums can embed Accreditation into their daily working lives to make them more resilient.
Who should attend?
Volunteers and paid staff from museums which are Accredited, or working towards Accreditation, and who would like to know more about the review of the scheme.
What will you learn?
The latest revisions to the Museums Accreditation scheme will be explained in the morning session and there will be an opportunity to book a 1-2-1 meeting with Vicky Dawson in the afternoon.
Please let us know at the time of booking your place for the morning session if you would like a one-to-one session with Vicky.
If you have any particular issues you’d like her to cover in the morning session please include your question when you book.
Vicky Dawson is the Accreditation Technical Adviser: South West. She has lived Accreditation for longer than she cares to remember and will be making this session participative and accessible.
