Arts Award Adviser Training – Gold

This course is for adults who want to top-up their knowledge and skills to become Gold Arts Award advisers.

Advisers are crucial to Arts Award. They need to communicate with children and young people successfully and offer them effective support while they are working towards their Award.

This course is suitable for anyone who works with young people aged 11 to 25 and meets the requirements outlined in the Arts Award adviser person specification.

You must also have previously attended a Bronze & Silver Arts Award training course.

What will I learn?

  • get familiar with the assessment criteria and framework for the Gold Arts Award (Level 3 qualification, with UCAS points)
  • meet other professionals who are planning to run Arts Award in a wide variety of settings
  • get the chance to explore case studies and examples of Gold level work
  • ask questions and consider how Arts Award may work for you in your particular setting

Do I need to bring my toolkit?

Yes, it is important that you bring your adviser toolkit to the training as there won’t be any available on the day.

You should have this from your Bronze & Silver training, but you can also buy the fourth edition of the toolkit from the Arts Award shop or download the latest free toolkit updates.

PLEASE NOTE: You will need to complete this survey before attending the course.
