The nature of fundraising and the climate in which we fundraise is changing radically. As a result the role of trustees also needs to develop to meet these changes by ensuring that fundraising is approached strategically and coherently.
This one day workshop will be looking at identifying the different stages involved in fundraising: engagement, strategy development and planning. It will help you to assess how fundraising ready your organisation is and explore the types of funding that best suit your organisation. In addition it will look at what role you can play, as trustees, by utilising your skills and creative strategic thinking to help the organisation develop and deliver its fundraising goals. Finally, how you can potentially be actively involved in helping create opportunities, advocating for your museum and exploring new funding opportunities.
