Museum Development

The Museum development programme provides access to professional advice and guidance, and the potential to engage with a range of projects, resources and services that will enable museums in Cornwall to improve and expand; attract more visitors and maintain professional standards.

Training, free professional advice and tailored support can be provided in areas such as; collections care, audience development, business development, learning, sustainability and governance.

Support will be given to museums to achieve and maintain the professional Accreditation standard and in developing sustainability, for example in writing your museum’s forward plans and in applying for external funding, including the Small Grants Big Improvement scheme.

Museum Development in Cornwall is run by the Cornwall Museums Partnership. It is funded by Arts Council England SW Museum Development Programme and Cornwall Council.
