Celebrating Volunteering
Volunteering is fundamental to museums in Cornwall and can also provide benefits for those taking part. We all know of amazing volunteers who have inspiring stories to tell, and we want your help to share their experiences and encourage others to get involved.
Cornwall Museums Partnership is making a short film to encourage volunteering and celebrate the remarkable volunteers in our museums.
We want to spread the word that volunteering is for everyone; young and old, professionals and early career, people with busy lives and others with time to give to their community. From stewards to the social media savvy, curators to conservators, trustees to technicians – do you know of someone who has a great story to tell and who would be willing to take part in a short interview about their volunteer journey?
We are looking to collect a number of stories where volunteering has made a real impact on people’s lives and we will select several of these to profile within our film.
If you would like to take part, or can encourage someone else from your museum, please do get in touch for a chat.
And, if you think you may have a story to share, please get back to us by Monday 21st March by contacting Bryony Robins: [email protected] / 01209 500750
