Tuesday 13 June
Combe Martin Museum is an award winning, small, Accredited museum that has established itself at the heart of its community by building strong local connections and through partnership working. The museum benefitted from a Heritage Lottery Fund development award in 2006, and offers a regular events and activities programme, schools and research services.
This study visit offers the chance to find out how another museum works, become inspired, consider ideas you can develop in your museum, discuss behind the scenes operations and share ideas and network with other museum colleagues. Combe Martyn Museum is opening specially for the Cornwall Museums Group visit, so we will have the undivided attention of key team members.
Please come prepared to take notes and photographs – we would like to highlight and share some of the lessons learned at the CMG network meetings. A prompt sheet will be provided for suggested things to consider. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
This event is open to volunteers and staff working in museums in Cornwall. Places are limited, so please only book when you are certain that you will be able to attend. Spaces are limited to 3 people per museum. Please click here for more information and to book a place.
This study day has been organised for the Cornwall Museums Group supported by Cornwall Museums Partnership.
