The first Cornwall Heritage Awards were organised and created by Cornwall Museums Partnership, to celebrate museums and heritage organisations here in Cornwall the Isles of Scilly, and the fantastic achievements of those that support them.
Its a chance to shine the spotlight on the unsung heroes of the heritage world and give recognition to those who have helped organisations to make a real difference within their communities.
The 2018 Awards took place on Tuesday 20th March 2018 at Scorrier House, Redruth. The event was such a success, the Cornwall Museums Partnership will be running them again in 2019.
The Heritage Awards are here to celebrate museums within local communities, across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and within the wider heritage sector. We are giving you the chance to shout about the hard work you’ve done, and give those unsung heroes their much deserved moment in the spotlight.
We have seven awards that you can apply for, by entering through our website. The deadline for 2018 applications was Friday 15th December, 2017 for the chance to be shortlisted for one of the awards specified. Shortlisting will took place in January, before the winners were announced at the ceremony in March 2018.
The Cornwall Heritage Awards are open to all museums and heritage organisations within Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We have dedicated awards for special projects, objects and people.
